Welcome to IELTS Understood Pro. We are committed to providing you with the best possible AI powered IELTS preparation platform and helping you achieve your target band score. By using our platform you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Platform immediately.

These Terms of Service together with our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer constitute the full agreement between you and English Understood governing your use of the Platform. By using IELTS Understood Pro you agree to all three documents. Please read each document carefully before using the platform.

Definitions

For the purposes of these Terms of Service the following terms have the meanings set out below:

• "Platform" refers to the IELTS Understood Pro application accessible at ieltsunderstoodpro.com
• "We", "us" and "our" refers to English Understood, the operator of IELTS Understood Pro
• "You" and "your" refers to the individual accessing or using the Platform
• "Services" refers to all features, tools and content available through the Platform including but not limited to video lessons, writing feedback, speaking practice, grammar exercises, vocabulary tools and any AI powered features and functionality that may be available now or introduced in the future
• "Content" refers to all material available on the Platform including but not limited to video lessons, written materials, practice questions, grammar exercises, vocabulary content, AI generated feedback and any other educational materials
• "Third Party" refers to any individual, company or service that is not us or you

1. Agreement

By accessing or using IELTS Understood Pro you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer. If you do not agree with these terms you must not use the Platform.

These terms apply to all visitors, users and others who access or use the Platform.

2. Copyright Notice

Unless otherwise stated all source code, databases, functionality, software, platform designs, audio, video, text, photographs, video courses, videos, graphics, practice questions, grammar exercises, vocabulary content and all other Content on the Platform is the proprietary property of English Understood or its licensors and is protected by applicable copyright laws in all jurisdictions.

You are strictly prohibited from copying, reproducing, distributing, modifying, displaying, performing, transmitting or otherwise exploiting any Content from the Platform for any purpose without our prior written consent. Nothing in these Terms of Service grants you any right to do so.

You may use the Platform and its Content solely for your own individual non-commercial and personal educational purposes. Any other use including but not limited to commercial purposes, sharing Content with others, or using Content to teach or assist others is strictly prohibited without our prior written consent.

3. Intellectual Property

All Content on the Platform including but not limited to courses, videos, practice questions, grammar exercises, vocabulary tools, AI generated feedback, graphics and text is the intellectual property of English Understood or its licensors and is protected by copyright laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Content solely for your own personal educational purposes. Redistribution, resale, modification, reproduction, using this content to benefit you financially, or sharing of any Content in any form on any platform is strictly prohibited without prior written permission.

You must not use any automated tool, script, bot, crawler, scraper or any other automated means to access, copy, extract, harvest or reproduce any Content from the Platform including but not limited to practice questions, grammar exercises, vocabulary content, course materials, AI generated feedback or any other materials. Any attempt to scrape, copy or systematically extract Content from the Platform is a serious breach of these Terms of Service and our intellectual property rights and will result in immediate termination of your account without refund and may result in legal action being taken against you.

4. Acceptable Use

You must not use the Platform in any way which is illegal, fraudulent or harmful or in connection with any illegal, fraudulent or harmful activity.

You must not use the Platform to copy, host, publish or distribute any material which contains or may contain spyware, computer viruses, trojans, keystroke loggers or any other malicious software.

You must not use the Platform in a way which causes or may cause damage to the Platform or impairment to its accessibility or functionality.

You must not perform any data collection, scraping or harvesting activities on or in relation to the Platform without our prior written consent.

You must not use the Platform to transmit unsolicited commercial communications.

You must not use the Platform for any marketing or commercial purpose without our prior written consent.

You must not share, reproduce or distribute any Content from the Platform for the purpose of teaching or assisting others to obtain knowledge in any form or environment without our prior written consent.

You must not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile or otherwise access the source code or underlying technology of the Platform.

You must not submit any content to the Platform including but not limited to writing submissions, speaking practice recordings or any other user generated input that is offensive, defamatory, obscene, threatening, abusive, discriminatory, illegal or otherwise inappropriate. This includes but is not limited to content that is racist, sexist, hateful, violent, sexually explicit or that promotes or glorifies illegal activity. Any submission of inappropriate content is a serious breach of these Terms of Service and will result in immediate termination of your account without refund. We reserve the right to review, remove or report any inappropriate content submitted to the Platform at our sole discretion.

You must not impersonate or falsely claim to represent English Understood, IELTS Understood Pro, any of our staff, employees, agents or representatives, or any other person or entity in connection with your use of the Platform or in any communication related to the Platform.

5. User Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials including your email address and password. You agree not to disclose your credentials to any third party and you agree not to allow any other person to use your account. Any unauthorised access or use of your account must be reported to us immediately at support@ieltsunderstood.com. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to maintain the security of your account credentials or from you allowing another party to access your account.

Each account with IELTS Understood Pro is granted to a single individual user only. Account sharing is strictly prohibited regardless of whether it is done for commercial gain or otherwise. You must not share your account credentials including your email address and password with any other person or allow any other person to access the Platform using your account for any reason whatsoever.

If we detect or reasonably suspect that your account is being accessed by more than one person or that your credentials have been shared we reserve the right to take action without prior notice including but not limited to:

• Immediately suspending or terminating your account without refund
• Permanently banning your email address and IP address from the Platform
• Taking legal action where appropriate

By using IELTS Understood Pro you confirm that you are the sole user of your account and that you will not share your account credentials or access with any other person under any circumstances.

6. Payment and Access

IELTS Understood Pro operates on a one-time payment basis. By purchasing access to the Platform, you agree to pay the applicable one-time fee in full at the time of purchase.

Access Period

Upon successful payment you will receive 365 days of access to the Platform from the date of purchase. Access will automatically expire at the end of your 365-day period. No automatic renewals or recurring charges will occur.

Pricing

We reserve the right to change our pricing at any time. Price changes will not affect purchases already made. The price you pay at the time of purchase is final.

Refunds

We do not offer refunds except where expressly provided under our Money-Back Score Increase Guarantee or where required by applicable consumer law.

Data Retention

Your data including writing history, speaking history, AI feedback, lesson progress and vocabulary progress will be retained for the duration of your 365-day access period. Following expiry of your access period your data will be permanently deleted after 30 days unless you request earlier deletion.

Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute in relation to any payment made to IELTS Understood Pro, we reserve the right to immediately suspend or terminate your account. By purchasing access to the Platform you acknowledge that you have had the opportunity to review the Platform’s features and content before committing to payment, and that by completing your purchase you confirmed you were satisfied to proceed. Initiating a chargeback in circumstances where you have accessed and used the Platform is a breach of these Terms of Service and may result in permanent account termination and legal action to recover the disputed amount. Nothing in this clause limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer law.

7.  Platform Access

Access to IELTS Understood Pro is available exclusively to students who have purchased a valid access package. All features, content, lessons, AI tools and practice materials are available immediately upon purchase for the duration of your 365-day access period. There is no free tier or trial period. If you attempt to access the Platform without a valid purchased access package you will be directed to our checkout page to complete a purchase.

8. Refund Policy

All payments are non-refundable except for the conditions set out in Section 23 below. By purchasing an access package to IELTS Understood Pro you acknowledge and agree that no refunds will be provided for any reason including but not limited to:

• Dissatisfaction with the platform, Content or AI generated feedback
• Failure to use the platform or its features during your 365-day access period
• Technical issues on your device or internet connection
• AI generated feedback not meeting your expectations

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law nothing in this refund policy excludes any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable consumer protection legislation.

9. AI Generated Content and Feedback

IELTS Understood Pro uses artificial intelligence to provide personalised feedback and enhance various features across the platform including but not limited to writing feedback, speaking practice, vocabulary exercises and other features that may be introduced in the future.

AI generated feedback is provided for educational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional advice or assessment by a qualified IELTS examiner. While we strive to provide high quality and accurate feedback we cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness or appropriateness of any AI generated content or feedback.

By using the AI powered features of the Platform you acknowledge and accept that your submissions may be processed by third party AI systems. We cannot guarantee or control how those third party AI systems handle, store or process the data submitted to them. Their use of your data is subject to their own privacy policies and terms of service.

We do not guarantee that using AI powered feedback or any other feature of the Platform will result in any improvement in your IELTS band score. Your results depend entirely on factors including but not limited to your starting level, effort, consistency, frequency of use, application of feedback, study habits, test day performance and factors beyond our control. AI generated feedback is provided as an educational tool only and should not be relied upon as a definitive assessment of your abilities or as a predictor of your performance in the official IELTS examination.

We make no representation that the AI generated feedback provided by the Platform is equivalent to or a substitute for feedback provided by a qualified and certified IELTS examiner. The feedback is generated by artificial intelligence systems which, while sophisticated, may contain errors, inaccuracies or omissions. You acknowledge that you use AI generated feedback entirely at your own risk and that English Understood and IELTS Understood Pro accept no liability whatsoever for any loss, damage or disappointment arising from your reliance on AI generated feedback or your failure to achieve a desired band score.

10. Fair Use of AI Features

IELTS Understood Pro offers unlimited access to AI powered features as part of eligible plans. This unlimited access is intended for genuine personal educational use only and is subject to our fair use policy. You must not spam, flood or otherwise abuse any AI powered feature of the Platform. Unlimited access does not mean unrestricted access and does not permit any form of abusive, automated or spam like behaviour.

While we do not impose a specific numerical limit on your use of AI powered features we reserve the right to monitor usage patterns across the Platform. If we determine at our sole discretion that your usage of any AI powered feature is excessive, abusive, automated, fraudulent or inconsistent with genuine personal educational use — including but not limited to submitting large volumes of requests in a short period of time, using automated tools or scripts to interact with the Platform, submitting irrelevant, nonsensical or repetitive content, or otherwise attempting to exploit or abuse the AI systems — we reserve the right to take action without prior notice including but not limited to:

• Temporarily restricting your access to AI powered features
• Permanently restricting your access to AI powered features
• Suspending or terminating your account without refund
• Permanently banning your email address from registering a new account on the Platform
• Blocking your IP address or range of IP addresses from accessing the Platform
• Blocking any device associated with your account from accessing the Platform
• Taking legal action where appropriate

The AI powered features of the Platform consume significant computational resources and incur costs on our end with every use. By using these features you agree to use them responsibly and in good faith for genuine personal IELTS preparation purposes only. Any attempt to abuse, exploit or circumvent the AI systems or usage policies of the Platform is a serious breach of these Terms of Service.

We reserve the right to update, modify or introduce additional fair use limits at any time at our sole discretion. Where changes to fair use limits materially affect existing subscribers we will endeavour to provide reasonable notice before such changes take effect.

By subscribing to and using the AI powered features of IELTS Understood Pro you acknowledge and accept this fair use policy and agree to use the Platform responsibly and in good faith at all times.

11. No Specific Score Guarantees

IELTS Understood Pro does not guarantee any specific IELTS band score as a result of using the Platform, its Content or any of its features. Any band score estimates, predictions or feedback provided by the Platform including but not limited to AI generated band score estimates are for educational and indicative purposes only. They are not official assessments and must not be relied upon as an accurate prediction of your performance in the official IELTS examination administered by the British Council, IDP or Cambridge Assessment English.

The official IELTS examination, at the time of writing, is assessed by trained and certified human examiners in a controlled test environment. AI generated band score estimates provided by this Platform are produced by artificial intelligence systems which, while sophisticated, cannot replicate the official IELTS marking criteria with complete accuracy. There may be a significant difference between an AI generated band score estimate and your actual official IELTS result. By using the Platform you expressly acknowledge and accept this limitation.

Your actual IELTS result depends on many factors entirely beyond our control including but not limited to your starting level, effort, consistency, frequency of use, application of feedback received, study habits, test day performance, nerves, the specific tasks presented in your test, the judgment of the examiner assessing your test and other unpredictable circumstances. We make no representation that completing any number of lessons, practice tasks or AI feedback sessions will result in any particular band score outcome.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law English Understood and IELTS Understood Pro accept no liability whatsoever for any direct, indirect or consequential loss, damage, disappointment or expense arising from your failure to achieve a desired band score, your reliance on any AI generated band score estimate or feedback, or any discrepancy between an AI generated estimate and your official IELTS result. Use of the Platform and all its features is entirely at your own risk.

12. Licence to Use Content

By subscribing to IELTS Understood Pro you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Content on the Platform solely for your own personal educational purposes during your 365-day access period. This licence is granted to you as an individual user only and is strictly non-transferable.

You are expressly prohibited from using the Platform or any of its Content for any commercial, professional or business purpose of any kind. This includes but is not limited to using the Platform or its Content as a teacher, tutor, coach, trainer or educator to assist, instruct or benefit others whether paid or unpaid. You may not use any Content from the Platform including but not limited to lessons, practice questions, grammar exercises, vocabulary content, AI generated feedback or any other materials to teach, train or assist any other person or persons in any setting including but not limited to private tutoring, group classes, language schools, coaching programmes or any other educational environment.

This licence does not grant you any right to download, modify, share, publish, sell, distribute or reproduce any Content in any form on any platform or through any medium. Any misuse of this licence including but not limited to using the Platform or its Content for commercial, professional or teaching purposes will result in immediate termination of your account without refund and may result in legal action being taken against you.

13. Third Party Services

The Platform integrates with third party services including but not limited to payment processors, AI providers, video hosting providers and platform infrastructure providers. While we carefully select these providers we are not responsible for any issues arising from their services including but not limited to payment errors, data breaches, system outages, AI inaccuracies or service interruptions. Your use of any third party services integrated with the Platform is subject to those providers' own terms of service and privacy policies.

By using the Platform you expressly acknowledge and accept that your use of any third party services integrated with the Platform is entirely at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law English Understood and IELTS Understood Pro accept no liability whatsoever for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive loss, damage, expense or harm of any kind arising from or in connection with your use of any third party service, regardless of whether such loss or damage was foreseeable or whether we were advised of the possibility of such loss or damage. If you suffer any loss, damage, inconvenience or harm as a result of any third party service integrated with the Platform, you agree that your recourse lies solely against that third party provider and not against English Understood or IELTS Understood Pro.

14. Technical Requirements

To access the Platform you will need a stable internet connection, a modern web browser and a device capable of accessing web based applications.

Failure to have the required technology is not a valid reason to request a refund. We are not responsible for any technical issues on your device or internet connection that may affect your access to the Platform.

15. Service Availability

We strive to provide continuous access to the Platform and its Services. However we cannot guarantee that the Platform will always be available or free from interruptions, errors or technical issues. Platform availability may be affected by factors including but not limited to scheduled maintenance, technical failures, server outages, internet connectivity issues and the availability and performance of third party services integrated with the Platform including but not limited to video hosting providers, AI providers, payment processors and platform infrastructure providers. We are not responsible for any interruptions or unavailability caused by any of these factors whether within or beyond our reasonable control.

We reserve the right to suspend, modify or discontinue the Platform or any of its features at any time with or without notice for any reason including but not limited to maintenance, upgrades, technical issues or business decisions.

In the unlikely event that the Platform is permanently closed, temporarily unavailable or access to the Services is discontinued for any reason you may lose access to the Platform and any Content, progress or data stored within it. By using the Platform you expressly acknowledge and accept this risk and other risks outlined in this section. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law no refunds will be provided in any such circumstances and English Understood and IELTS Understood Pro accept no liability whatsoever for any loss, damage or inconvenience arising from any interruption, suspension or discontinuation of the Platform or its Services.

16. Termination of Accounts

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time if you violate these Terms of Service or engage in behaviour deemed inappropriate or harmful. This includes but is not limited to misuse of Content, AI services, sharing account credentials, harassment, fraudulent activity or any other violation of these terms. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of any fees paid.

17. Disclaimer for Content

The Content on the Platform is provided for general educational purposes only and is not suitable for professional advice. While we take every effort to ensure the accuracy of our Content we make no representation or warranty of any kind regarding the accuracy, adequacy, validity, reliability, availability or completeness of any Content on the Platform. Your use of the Platform and its Content is solely at your own risk.

18. Accuracy of Information

We attempt to ensure the accuracy of all Content on the Platform. However, we reserve the right to correct any errors or omissions at any time without notice. This includes but is not limited to changes to Content, pricing and promotions.

19. Updates to Content

We strive to keep our Content up to date to reflect changes in the IELTS test format and best practices in language learning. We reserve the right to modify, update or remove any Content at any time without prior notice. If any Content does not reflect current IELTS test formats or practices we will not be liable for any loss or damage arising as a result.

20. Warranty

All Content and Services on the Platform are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any warranty of any kind express or implied. We make no representation or warranty regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability or suitability of the Content or Services for any particular purpose. Your use of the Platform is entirely at your own risk.

21. Exclusion of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law we exclude and disclaim all liability for any direct, indirect, special, punitive, incidental or consequential loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with your use of the Platform, its Content, its Services or any third party services integrated with the Platform. This includes but is not limited to:

• Loss of data or progress
• Inaccurate or inappropriate AI generated feedback
• Failure to achieve a desired IELTS band score
• Technical issues, interruptions or service outages
• Actions of third party service providers
• Unauthorised access to your account

Use of the Platform and its Services is entirely at your own risk.

22. Testimonials and Results

The Platform may contain testimonials from students about their experiences with our courses and methods. These testimonials reflect the individual experiences of those specific students only and are not representative of the experiences or results of all users. We do not claim, assert or guarantee that every user of the Platform will have the same experience or achieve any improvement in their IELTS band score whatsoever. Individual results may vary significantly depending on factors including but not limited to starting level, effort, consistency, study habits and test day performance. We cannot guarantee that you will achieve any particular score in your IELTS test or that you will see any improvement in your score or English level at all as a result of using the Platform.

By using the Platform, you acknowledge and accept that any testimonials or results displayed on the Platform are not a guarantee of your own results. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law English Understood and IELTS Understood Pro accept no liability for any loss, damage or disappointment arising from your reliance on any testimonial or result displayed on the Platform or from your failure to achieve a desired outcome.

23. Money-Back Score Increase Guarantee

Guarantee Coverage

The guarantee applies to both the Complete and Complete VIP packages as follows:

• Complete package: If you meet all eligibility requirements and do not see an improvement in your IELTS score, you will receive a full refund of the amount paid.

• Complete VIP package: If you meet all eligibility requirements and do not see an improvement in your IELTS score, you will receive a partial refund of $200. This reflects the platform access component only. The private lesson component is non-refundable as those sessions will have been delivered in full prior to any claim. Unused private lessons do not qualify for a refund under any circumstances.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for a refund under this guarantee, you must meet all of the following requirements:

Video Lessons

Complete every video lesson across all four skills — Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking — available on the IELTS Understood Pro platform at the time of your purchase.

Mock Tests

Complete all full-length mock tests available on the platform.

Writing Practice

Use the AI Writing Checker as part of your study practice. You must submit a minimum of 30 Writing tasks and have each one checked by the Writing Checker. These 30 tasks must be completed on separate days — a minimum of one day apart. You cannot complete all 30 tasks on the same day or within a short period to fulfil this requirement.

Speaking Practice

Use the AI Speaking tool as part of your study practice. You must complete a minimum of 50 speaking tasks for each of the three speaking parts — Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3 — and receive AI feedback on each task. No more than 10 speaking tasks can be completed per day to fulfil this requirement. Tasks completed in excess of 10 per day will not count toward the minimum requirement.

Vocabulary Practice

Use the Vocabulary Builder tool as part of your regular study practice throughout your access period.

Grammar Practice

Use the Grammar Checker tool as part of your regular study practice throughout your access period.

Daily Study Plan

Follow your Personalised Daily Study Plan throughout your entire access period.

Proof of Completion

Submit proof of completion of all the above requirements. This may include your platform progress record, activity logs, or screenshots as required by our support team.

Official Score Reports

Provide two official IELTS Test Report Forms (TRFs):

• The first TRF must be dated within 6 months prior to your purchase date

• The second TRF must be dated after completing the full program and within your 365-day access period

• Both TRFs must be issued by an official IELTS test provider (British Council, IDP, or Cambridge)

Verification of Score Reports

All submitted IELTS Test Report Forms must be verifiable and authentic. We reserve the right to verify the validity of both score reports before processing any refund. Falsified or altered documents will void the guarantee and may result in immediate termination of platform access without refund.

Minimum Improvement Requirement

If, after completing the entire platform including all video lessons, mock tests, Writing tasks, Speaking tasks, Vocabulary practice, Grammar practice, and study plan tasks, there is no increase in your official IELTS score in at least one section (Listening, Reading, Writing, or Speaking), you may request a refund in accordance with the guarantee coverage outlined above.

Timeframe for Claims

Refund requests must be submitted within your 365-day access period. Your second official IELTS Test Report Form must also be dated within this period. Claims submitted after the 365-day access period has expired will not be considered under any circumstances.

Limitations

a) Only one refund claim per student is permitted.

b) The guarantee applies exclusively to students who have completed the platform in its entirety and provided all required documentation as outlined above.

c) The guarantee does not apply to students who fail to complete all video lessons, skip mock tests, or do not engage with the AI Writing, Speaking, Vocabulary, and Grammar tools as required.

d) Refunds will only be issued to the original payment method used to purchase access.

e) The guarantee does not cover official IELTS exam fees, travel costs, or any third-party services.

f) For Complete VIP students, the $200 partial refund covers the platform access component only. Private lessons already delivered are non-refundable. Unused private lessons are also non-refundable under any circumstances.

Non-Qualification Cases

The following situations do not qualify for a refund under any circumstances:

• Failure to complete all video lessons, mock tests, Writing tasks, Speaking tasks, Vocabulary practice, and Grammar practice as specified above

• Failure to follow the Personalised Daily Study Plan throughout the access period

• Lack of two official, verifiable IELTS Test Report Forms meeting the requirements above

• Submission of falsified, altered, or unverifiable documents

• Requests based on dissatisfaction with platform content, teaching style, or subjective expectations unrelated to score improvement

• Claims submitted after the 365-day access period has expired

• Complete VIP students claiming a refund for unused private lessons

No Questions Asked Policy

If all eligibility requirements are met and all documentation is verified, the refund will be processed with no further questions asked.

Modification and Termination

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Money-Back Score Increase Guarantee at any time. However, any changes will not apply to students who purchased access before such changes were made.

How to Claim

To submit a claim, email support@ieltsunderstood.com with the subject line ‘Guarantee Claim — [Your Name]’ and include all required documentation listed above.

24. External Links

The Platform may contain links to third party websites. We do not warrant, endorse or assume responsibility for the accuracy, reliability or safety of any third party websites linked from the Platform. We will not be responsible for any loss or damage arising from your use of any third party website.

25. Breaches of These Terms

If you breach any of these Terms of Service, we reserve the right to take action including but not limited to suspending or terminating your account, blocking access to the Platform and taking legal action where appropriate.

26.  Severability

If any provision of these Terms of Service is deemed unenforceable by a court or legal authority, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

27. Pricing

All prices on the Platform are listed in United States Dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to change our pricing for new purchases at any time at our sole discretion. Price changes will not affect purchases already made.

The price displayed at the time of purchase is the base price in USD. The final amount charged to your payment method may differ from the displayed price due to factors outside our control including but not limited to:

• Currency conversion rates applied by your bank or payment provider

• International transaction fees charged by your bank or card issuer

• Local taxes, duties or levies applicable in your country or region

• Payment processing fees applied by third party payment providers

We are not responsible for any additional charges applied by your bank, card issuer or payment provider in connection with your purchase. Any such charges are solely between you and your financial institution or payment provider. If you are unsure whether additional charges may apply to your purchase we recommend contacting your bank or payment provider before completing your transaction.
